Oh, I love this! I never would have dreamed up this version myself, but it fits so many of the details so perfectly, from the physical isolation to small things in the original story, like the use of the computer, staring at the ceiling, running out of food. I really like the way you tied everything together and shifted them from the social (anti-social) setting to the professional one you created here. I especially like the moment in the cafeteria where Trowa "felt almost human again," because that very thing - the disconnect with humanity - is so very much a part of my own story. And thank you for the lovely, awkward, promising kiss towards the end. ♥ Thank you for the beautiful last line. ♥♥ Thank you, thank you for this wonderful story!
