That's the great thing about fanfic. You get to fill in the cracks. Because there are places where they toss a line off and you're left going ?!?. Aside from the episode where they introduced it, they've never dealt with what it's like for Teyla to be part Wraith. And Wraith tech is alive! Her using it--there's gotta be some kind of consequences.
